Hattie Ann Dillard, born February 2, 1873, was the oldest daughter.
She attended the nearby country school at Batesville. At an early age
she joined the Mt. Tabor Presbyterian Church at Greer but later moved
her membership to the Fulton Church where she was an active member.
When twenty-one years of age she married, February 21, 1894, David
Hampton Leonard who was born March 21, 1870. To this union were born
three sons and one daughter. Their names are Joe, George, Carl, and
Isabel.
The Leonard homestead is located new Reidville, S. C. where Hattie
and Dave lived until the death of the mother May 7, 1937. She and her
husband are buried in the cemetery of Fulton Churchyard.
Hattie was known to have had a quiet and friendly manner. She had
a striking resemblance to her mother. She was known for being an
excellent seamstress. She enjoyed having relative in for meals. Her
pleasant smile and coutenance endeared her to many loved ones and
friends.

A. Joseph Herman Leonard, born March 14, 1896, died June 24, 1957,
married Dorothy Snow, born August 17, 1902, died July 16, 1927.

(1) Nell Leonard, born May 17, 1921, married May 3, l943,
Robert Ervin Caldwell, born May 3, 1943.
Their children are:
(a) Robert Ervin Caldvell, Jr., born July 8, 1945.
(b) Judy Nell Caldwell, born March 13, 1950.
(2) Grace Leonard, born January 3, 1923, married January 30,
1943 Gerald D. Wingo. Their children are:
(a) Gerald Dale Wingo, born September 17, 1944.
(b) Dorothy Jane Wingo, born June 30, 1950.
(c) David Leonard Wingo, born August 12, 1951.
After the death of Dorothy Snow Leonard, Joe married January
15, 1928, Lois G. Wingo. Their four children are:
(1) Joseph Herman Leonard, Jr., born November 7, 1928,
(Navy career).
(2) Marion Paul Leonard, born April 24, 1930, married December
4, 1954, Shirley Bennett. Their only child is:
(a) Marion Paul Leonard, Jr., born May 13, 1956.
(3) Bobby Jane Leonard, born April 1, 1933, married May 3, 1952,
Billy Mathis. Their two children are:
(a) Lois Kay Mathis, born January 4, 1955.
(b) Sandra Carol Mathis, born August 26, 1957.
(4) Shirley Ann Leonard, born October 6, 1935, married October
17, 1956 to William A. Keels. Their only child is:
(a) Terri Ann Keels born, September ]5, 1958.
B. George Leland Leonard, born November 21, 1897, died November
19, 1943, married June 5, 1919 to Zobelia Johnson, born July
23, 1897. Their six children are:
(1) Mora Stewart Leonard, born December 5, 1919, married August
17, 1936 Collier Eugene Snow. Their children are:
(a) Martha Eugenia Snow, born July 30, 1937, married May
21, 1954, Jackson Berry Quinn, born September 23, 1939.
Their children are:
(i) Jacqueline Suzanne Quinn, born August 27, 1955.
(ii) Janet Carol Quinn, born May 11, 1958.
(2) William Dennie Leonard, born September 10, 1921, married
October 27, 1945, Doris Louise Curry, born June 19, 1926.
Their only child is Wilma Diane Leonard, born September
20, 1946.
(3) George Leland Leonard, Jr., born January 17, 1923.
(4) June Miriam Leonard, born August 3l, 1928, married November
27, 1945 to Benjamin Franklin Cox, Jr. Their two children
are:
(a) Franklin Marion Cox, born February 23, 1949.
(b) Ronald Eugene Cox, born February 7, 1951.
(5) Jonas Marion Leonard, born August 31, 1928, died September
12, 1928.
(6) Wirron Hansel Leonard, born April 4, 1931.
C. William Carl Leonard, born June 8, 1901, died July 6, 1957,
married December 25, 1923 Marie McKown, born December 17, 1902.
Their children are:
(1) David Forest Leonard, born October 29, 1924, married June
24, 1950 to Etta Burnett.
(2) Gerald Dillard Leonard, born December 8, 1925, married June
11, 1945 Jane LaBonte. Their two children are:
(a) Bette Leonard, born June 25, 1947.
(b) Jerrilyn Leonard, born June 18, 1948.
(3) Herman Oneal Leonard, born February 25, 1927, married
August 15, 1956 Sara Ann Alverson.
(4) Calvin McKown Leonard, born April 8, 1928, married May 1O,
1953 Mildred Miley. Their three children are:
(a) Calvin McKown Leonard, Jr., born August 9, 1954.
(b) Vicki Lynn Leonard, born November 11, 1955.
(c) Terry Jean Leonard, born March 13, 1957.
(5) Nancy Rena Leonard, born January 2, 1930, married August
26, 1950 Lester Ritcher, Jr.
(6) Doris Marie Leonard, born Nay 16, l931 married August 9,
1952 Paul A. Wilson. Their tvo children are:
(a) Ann Marie Wilson, born June 12, 1954.
(b) John Leonard Wilson, born July 27, 1956.
(7) William Carl Leonard, Jr., born December 6, 1940.
D. Isabel Leonard, born July 3, 1903, married January 7, 1922,
Amzi Cecil Gaston, born February 1, 1902, died August 1, 1957.
Their children are:
(1) Margaret Rachel Gaston, born September 1, 1923, married
January 28 1944 to James Robert Cox. Their three children:
(a) James Robert Cox, Jr., born December 21, 1944.
(b) Larry Gaston Cox, born October 12, 1947.
(c) Karon Ann Cox born June 26, 1959.
(2) Cecil Stoddard Gaston, born August 10, 1925, married
January 8, 1945 to Mildred Edwards.
Their four chilaren are:
(a) Carolyn Imogene Gaston, born May 25, 1946.
(b) Steven Randall Gaston, born August 28, 1947.
(c) Tony Michael Gaston, born August 28, 1953.
